Aquarius App
UI/UX Design for a Modern Food Ordering & Delivery Platform
Project Overview
Aquarius is a food ordering and delivery app designed for speed, clarity, and appetite-first browsing. The goal was to create a mobile experience that feels light, modern, and effortless—so users can go from “I’m hungry” to “order confirmed” without friction. Brainbox handled the UI/UX design with a focus on clean navigation, strong food presentation, and a scalable component system that can grow with new features.
The Challenge
Food apps fail for two classic reasons: too many steps, and messy menus. Aquarius needed a UI that:
Keeps discovery fast (users find food quickly)
Makes menus readable and visually tempting
Reduces decision fatigue with smart layout and hierarchy
Supports a multi-screen product (home, menu, dish pages, orders, profile)
Stays consistent and scalable as the product expands
Strategy & UX Approach
We designed Aquarius around a simple principle: browse → choose → customize → checkout with zero confusion.
Key UX decisions included:
Clear category structure and quick scanning patterns
Consistent card layouts for food items and restaurants
Strong CTA placement (add, customize, reorder)
A clean navigation model that keeps core actions reachable
A UI system built on reusable components for faster future iteration
UI Design System
Aquarius uses a fresh, minimal interface with a green accent that signals “fresh / healthy / go.” The UI style focuses on:
High whitespace + clean typography for readability
Food imagery as the hero (UI supports the content, not the other way around)
Consistent spacing, icon rules, and button styles
Repeatable components for lists, product cards, and detail views
Outcome
Aquarius ended up with a modern, product-ready UI/UX foundation:
Cleaner browsing and faster ordering flow
Stronger food presentation and better usability
Consistent design language across all screens
A scalable system ready for growth (new categories, promotions, loyalty, etc.)
